Software Customization
PDI offers customization for our customers who need programming services. These resources are available on a time and materials basis including development of project specifications. All specifications developed are approved by all parties before programming commences. There are three areas that may be of interest to you:
- POS Integration — PDI integrates with a variety of POS devices, however it’s impossible to keep up with new providers and devices in the market today.
- Systems Integration — PDI provides consulting and development staff to design and efficiently integrate PDI systems to other systems.
- Enhancement Requests — We encourage our customers to suggest enhancements and prioritize all requests based on the scope of effort involved and the overall benefit to the PDI customer community. As a result, some features never come to the top of the priority list. Customers who desire to change the priority of a request, have the option of custom programming services. Even though we provide custom programming, we reserve the right to disapprove a request if we feel it does not serve the best interest of all of PDI customers. When an enhancement is complete, we include the change in the next possible point release, which makes it available for all customers to use.
- Custom Reports (SSRS) – 99% of the data you need is available through standard system reports and PDI/FocalPoint. However, using Microsoft’s SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), PDI can quickly write custom reports that meld data from multiple sources, ready for you to deploy on a scheduled basis, or run on the fly when you need to see results. The robust SSRS toolset allows us to create interactive, graphical and free-form reports from relational database sources. PDI also offers training to teach you to create your own reports using this superb tool.
